Rent-A-Composer - The Concept
Culture shopping in the radical way: Rent-A-Composer puts composers and instrumentalists in the shopping cart to create new contemporary works for concert use.
The new creative format for musical collaborations awards composition commissions in each of its diverse projects, which are realized in close cooperation with selected soloists and ensembles, young, aspiring artists with a bold program.
The newly created works can be stylistically located in modern music, but not only for experts. The declared aim of the format is to arouse curiosity in a playful way and to refresh the audience's ears in an entertaining way: contemporary composition techniques meet an extra portion of groove.
The individual projects place a particular focus on incorporating the individual artistic profile of the collaborating instrumentalists. This creates custom-made music with a personal touch, tailored to the interests and strengths of the soloists and ensembles. This special attention also contributes to the great versatility of Rent-A-Composer projects.
The premiere will be served crisp and fresh in the ensemble's own concert, after the store closes there will be a video to listen to on YouTube and the new sheet music can be conveniently purchased via online shopping.
